im really disappointed that i didn't write at all this week. sigh!
let me try to remember some things
today aacf went to sacramento state park to pass out food to the homeless. we made pb&js the day before and we just walked around. my group wasn't so lucky in finding homeless people. and also its kind of hard to distinguish between homeless people and nonhomeless people. you know? but i thought it was still cool:) afterwards we went to costco to grubb. i only had my card, and they didnt accept it, so donald paid for us. and then we found out he didn't have any money to pay for himself! i dont know. i just really love aacf people for being so selfless. i can really see God's love shining through them. i hope i can be like them for the freshmen next year :) then i got back to dorm and took a 6 hour nap. found out tiff found my glasses under andrea's bed! YEE!

friday: allnighter. took two midterms and turned in a paper. i got a 51% on my chem. that kind of sucks, but its ok! at large group today, pastor dana showed this verse on the overhead.
psalms 118:24: "This is the day the LORD has made, [I will] rejoice and be glad in it." i could be emo and depressed about my grades, but i have a choice to still live a glorifying day :). life is more than school, anyways. :) then we went to make pb&j sandwiches and just chill. i really like just singing praise songs with a guitar playing. its just so simple and i love it!

i think thursday was a pretty boring day. haha don't remember anything

wednesday: dont remember much except i went to women's bible study for the first time. it was really good! i didn't want to go because i thought i had hecka school work, but i realized i should always have time for God and fellowshipping :) but it was all worth it. it was just me, hannah, and michelle fong, but it was really good. we watched videos afterwards, hahah really funnaaay.

anyways, i think im really loving davis a lot more. coming to davis forced me out of my comfort zone. i really don't have close friends here, so i had to really depend on God. but i found this great fellowship where i can grow as a christian, and i've met some really cool people. im glad i met shannon, celeste, and jasmine, my future housemates! im happy :). i've also been seeking God more here at davis. its weird. i thought i'd grow away from God, if anything. but i really wanna learn more about Him and read the Bible more.

oh yeah, and for apartments, we can't get almondwood because they're all rented out. we're deciding between sorrento and portage bay. celeste really wants sorrento, but its just so expensive! portage bay is really cheap, and shannon would bring a car then. i like portage bay, but i feel like its going to be hard for us to come to a decision. :(

where has the weekend gone?

it's already sunday, which means tomorrow is monday. thank you mr. obvious.
i have a midterm tomorrow for my mushroom, mold and society class. i haven't really studied for it yet, but im doing it now :l. today went to church at ucc with aaron, lauren, liza, and shannon. we were late, so we couldn't find any parking, so we ended up parking at some random lot. it was a nice day though, so i didn't mind walking :). today the pastor talked about the 40 days of community, and how important it is for christians to have communities of faith. i agree :). it's definitely not a journey to be ventured on alone. afterwards, stood around outside while drinking green tea and eating cookies. went to college class afterwards. they had donuts! i didn't really eat, but it was nice to have them there :). i think i like the pastor at college class; ucc might be the place i'll stick it. we'll see! afterwards, we went to house of noodles at downtown davis. the food was alright. aaron paid for us because no one had cash on them. he's so nice :/ i really want to repay him for his kindness. someday. someday. came back to dorm, and waited for parents to come. they brought rice, kimchi, water, gen neep, peanuts, clothes, yadayadayada. it was nice to see my mom again :)
spent couple hours studying for chem chapter seven. wasn't very productive because i was feeling drowsy. but i refused to take a nap! anyways, off i go to finish studying for tomorrow's midterm. and hopefully dt!

i died. but now im back :)

i haven't blogged in a couple of days. don't really know why, but it doesn't matter because i'll catch up now :)
wednesday
man, talk about bad day. this is really embarassing, but it just ruined my day. so i went to the dc for lunch, and i grabbed two tangerines on the way out. i had half a cookie in my hand, which i really would've consumed all the way by the time i exited the door. anyways, the rule is only one fruit or one dessert, and i got caught :(. i was walking out and this mister was like "i need to see your id card." i was like o.o; thinking "ARGHGHGH" and he wrote down my id number and told me to put my fruit back. yeah the ruined my day. seriously though. two tangerines=one orange okay? -_- it was a long day. 9-4 with one hour break for lunch. took a nap after lab because i just felt blah. found out i got a 'b' on my english paper. kind of disappointed, because i wanted an A. hehe. guess i'll try and do better next time :). at the end of the day though, i realized that i shouldn't let so many things get to me because none of this really matters you know? i have a purpose in life, so im happy :)
thursday
i got over it. but then i kind of didn't. you know, that's the kind of person i am. i just reply things over and over in my mind. i wonder if i should clear the air with the mister, but i don't know. he always looks so mad, and ugh. we'll see. anyways went to class from 12-2. went to the arc with celeste afterwards. today is the day celeste had lunch with won ;). anyways, after arc, met up with brother to eat dinner. oh my gosh. dinner was awfully delicious today. i don't usually like salmon, but it was SO GOOD. i think we got like four plates of just that. hahah my brother was like "come on, we have to get a lot of the good expensive stuff!" totally asian. anyways, after that went to chem discussion. i spent the whole time studying for the math quiz though. hahah went to math discussion after that; took quiz. it was alright, i guess. left early :x to go to bible study.
bible study was good i guess. i was in the intense group. haha. after bs, hung out for a while then went back to dorm. shannon pulled all nighter for chem midterm :(
friday
went to classes and took a nice nap (likeeee 3 hours?) afterwards. hahah man that felt good. went to aacf large group. fbc pastor spoke andd yeah. it was nice :) afterfellowship at saratoga west with freshmen. went to quicklys before to get food. 25 cents per ounce frozen yogurt? daaang! played apples to apples with some people while others played taboo. it was nice just hanging out :)
saturday
woke up and ate brunch with celeste and shannon. today was so unproductive. i should have done more, but i didn't :(.

why hello there mister stress.

yes, i can feel it. and i need to get rid of it before i lose my composure! yesterday presented the perfect opportunity to do something productive. i woke up at 3:00. took a shower. and i just couldn't get myself to do anything. i felt so dead. i took a nap later on. got a call from celeste to go eat. i went to go eat. got back. still didn't feel like doing any work. so i slept early. i slept for like 12 hours both days. makes me feel incredibly sick that im so unproductive. that's why im going to go to class and then come back, and do ALL of my work. that's right, i said all. we'll see how far that goes. midterms are approaching. stress be gone. be gone! :(

this is too long to read. trust me.

ohmanohman. so on friday i set off for winter retreat in santa cruz! i was in walter's car. i didn't even know him, and he drove me. how nice! so in our car was paul, sarah, johannah, and me. we went to san jose and stopped there to eat. we ended up eating at tapioca express. HAHA. went all the way to san jose to eat tapx. then after that our car was like, "let's get a head start and go without the caravan." karma is a beezyyy. hahah we started going up the mountain and everyone started getting carsick. except for me? i don't know why. but yeah all the windy roads and twists and turns. understandable. we got SO lost because it was so dark. paul had to throw up four times throughout the trip. i felt really bad for him, but he was being a soldier :). sarah threw up once too :( we got there at like almost one am. hahah. we were like the last ones to get there. everyone was in the cabin i was staying in. we sang happy birthday to liza and gave her cupcakes! we went to sleep and then

woke up early for optional prayer meeting. i normally am not into prayer meetings, but i felt convicted to go for some reason. it was nice. there weren't too many people there, but its okay. after prayer meeting, we went to go eat breakfast. yummy :D i really like green tea. hahah then we went to worship and listen to the first sermon. andy was speaking, and even though its all stuff that i knew already, it was good to be reconvicted. i liked what he had to say to the girls. beauty fades, charm is deceptive. focus on being a strong follower of Christ because that's all that really matters in the end. after that, we had small groups. let's see. who was in my group? tyler was our leader. i thought it was cute how he prayed "Father, umm thanks for this day i guess." hhah but yeah and hannah, matt dea, andrew. then we had lunch. i played scruples or whatever you call it. i won. whoo hoo. -_-. then walked around for a bit. dinner. worship. sermon. small groups. outdoor activity: mission impossible. basically there are four "targets" that are hidden, and we all have to find these people. each person will give us a letter. you're supposed to spell out "love". you need to find the people in chronogical order (it was hard. i only got the "l") there are agents too. omg aaron and jeff >:O. they lured me out of my group somehow. they were like "oh the game is almost over. let's just walk back." and i was like "ok". so we're just talking, and then jeff is like "bambam." sigh. so he drew on my face as a result. whatever! it was just a heart :D. then we had campfiree. people shared stories. yk's was very memorable; he gave his lifestory.

i was kind of iffy about this retreat so far because its so different from what im used to at home. like, at home, we have the whole last night dedicated towards praise and prayer. i don't know. i still love aacf though!

sunday, went to prayer meeting. ate brunch. had worship/devotion. sunday sermon. moi time. talked to rebecca. small groups. packed up. group picture. man that took FOREVER. hahah we took pictures on noah's ark :D. it was very prom style because we were on the stairs. it was cute though. then we left for davis. well we decided to go to curry house at san jose. and we were actually FIRST. hahah mm shared sesame chicken and rice with sarah :) she's really cool! then we went to YOGURTLAND! yesss. first time. i didn't take a picture though. how disappointing. it was really yummy! then we went to this japanese store where everything is $1.50. paul is very indecisive. he couldn't figure out which beanie to get. and omg, he lost his phone :( probably sometime when he ran out of the car to throw up. i feel really bad because i think he's not doing too well financially..but he bought the beanie regardless. he's funny. lol. his laugh always sounds nervous. and he tells us that is just comes out that way.

anyways we stayed there for like, EVER. we started driving home, and we got lost. why am i not surprised? hahah we drove around looking for the freeway, but it just wasn't happening. i mean, eventually we found it, but yeah. it was nice getting to talk to my car :). we listened to music from my ipod and just, talked. we went to walmart to get paul a new phone. i bought cereal, nivea, and gummy bears while i was there :). then we drove back to davis, and i felt really sad because i didn't want it to end. but it did. i was the first to get dropped off and i was looking for my id card. found it. stuck it in my mouth. looked for my keys. couldnt find it in my purse. realized that i didn't have my id card in my mouth anymore. looked for it. found it in my purse. not sure how it got there again. keys were in my backpack. now im in my dorm alone bc shannon is in socal.

anyways, the retreat was fun overall, and i learned some stuff. im a little iffy, but we'll see what happens.

lately, i've just really had this desire to read the bible and get to know Jesus more. so i hope i do that without getting lazy :(

pushpushpull!

wednesday: went to go see pushpushpull for the first time; they're really good! i would have bought their cd to support, but i didn't bring any money :/. went to late night for the first time ever with celeste. i love herr! seriously though. we went and she taught me how to knit while we ate waffles and cookies. we started talking about what qualities we'd want to look for in a guy. i don't know, it was really nice talking to her. after that, we went to the study lounge to finish up some homework. she was typing up an essay, and i decided to stay up with her so she wouldn't feel lonesome :). we got distracted a lot with youtube videos. haha. went back to dorm at 4-5am? fell asleep and i kept waking up confused. haha it was weird.
thursday: went to english class then went to sorrento to turn in our apartment app. forms. took a nice, refreshing nap when i got back. then went to eat dinner at dc with brother. it was korean night! but psh, that food is not real korean food. but what can you expect? gotta sacrifice quality for quantity sometimes! went to chem and math discussion afterwards. got back to dorm to work on my first official essay in college. hahah. i think im done, but i keep trying to find ways to perfect it. oh well, hopefully i will be done soon :)

excited for retreat!

hello sunshine!

talk about ideal and perfect weather. 70 degrees today; sunshine with hints of breezes. my favorite :) today was jasmine's dad death anniversary. its so hard for me to imagine what it would feel like to lose someone i loved. she's such a strong person, and im glad God has helped her to become a beautiful, strong and faithful follower in Christ!
went to one class today-english. i think im starting to like shakespeare more. a little bit. haha. mm afterwards, went to the MU to get my money. i bought my asa book for 45 dollars last quarter, and i sold it for 47.50. im feeling rich ;)
afterwards, did some studying. went to dinner. indian theme today. the music was very interesting. reminded me of david choi and benny lava :D. after that, went to legos. i really liked the bible study today :) i really like picking at passages in the bible. really makes you think, learn and understand more. after that just hung around with the freshmen then took escort service back to tercero. took shower and here i am. time to study for my mushroom class :l

feeling unproductive.

so today, woke up at 8:30 and felt so so tired. dead tired. so i ate yogurt before i left for class, and i thought that would suffice for a couple of hours, but nope. i had to find out the hard way. i went to my sas class, and ten minutes before class ended, my tummy let out the biggest growl ever. sigh. i felt more was coming, so i just left and went to my dorm to eat a granola bar. HHAHA. sad. but yeah, then went to math. i wrote like nothing down because i didn't learn anything. my calc teacher is so nice and sweet, but i don't learn anything from him! afterwards, went to lunch with shannon, celeste, brittney, and agna. then celeste, shannon, and i went to sorrento to waitlist for sorrento. i think it's going to be really expensive. i know celeste loves it there, but my priority is price and not spaciousness. im paying for all this myself, so the less, the better yeah? we'll see. then came back and i took a fat nap. felt good, but then felt so lazy afterwards. i think napping is bad. i didn't go to the arc today! i need a schedule. i think im not a spontaneous person; i'd rather have a schedule and stick to it so i'll just do it. hahha boring much? shutup.

watched yes man with jasmine and shannon on my laptop. clay and alvin came to visit. kind of weird. but whateverr. i need to make a schedule so i can follow. english homework time :/

woke up at 8:30 and got ready for church. went to university covenant church today with the future housemates. the service was alright. we always sit in the back, and im not a big fan of that. oh well! the speaker was a missionary who was talking to us about going on missions and such. afterwards, we went outside (it was super cold in the morning) and ate cookies and hot chocolate. at 11, we went to college class and had more cookies. haha. but i really liked the message. we focused on phillipians ch.3. i think i really like picking a certain section from the Bible and really reading, analyzing and understanding it. i REALLY liked it. haha. but yeah after college class, we went to sushi nobu. or is it nobu sushi? no se. but it was delicious :D. after that, we all went to my dorm and hung out for a while. we had a 'mandatory nap time' before we went to go buy froyo at yoloberry yogurt. yumyum. we sat down, but then we saw a family with 4 kids waiting for a table, so we just sat outside on the benches. it was cute. hahah we did the wave, kinda. we walked back to my dorm and celeste and i started making conversation in spanish. we looked at bedrooms at ikea. eek. so excited to decorate my side of the room. HAHA. actually, i don't think it'll be that pretty at all. im a college student on a budget, yo! we're probably going to live in sorrento, so yay :). it's a bit expensive, but i think it'll work out. went to dinner with them a bit later. then came back to our floor and looked for jasmine's id. but we found it so it's all good! took a shower and now im about to tackle my math homework :)

ohmygosh. on a side note, the commercials for 'marley and me' are so deceiving. happy family film my butt. good movie though; just sad :(

apartment hunting.

so today woke up around 10:30 and ate brunch with shannon, jasmine, and celeste. afterwards we took the j but to visit ray's apartment. it was kind of dark and small, but whatever .we went to the marketplace and they were having dog adoptions at petco! they were so cute :) then we went to pete's then headed back to the silo. then we took the w line to visit sorrento. sorrento is really nice, no doubt. very spacious with high ceilings. unfortunately, its a bit too expensive for me :(. we walked around and went to rite aid, then headed back to campus. the four of us went back to our dorm and did a bit of apartment research. yes. again. we couldn't come to a real solution, but :/. i wanted to nap, but no time because we had to go to christine's birthday dinner at silver dragon. yumyum the food was good :). afterwards, we walked back to tercero. we wanted the guys to do the "tell me" dance, but they just wouldnt :(. now im back in my dorm and watching marley and me!

went to class and ended around 1:00pm.
ate lunch with shannon, christine, and karen.
then shannon and i took the j line to almondwood apartments.
we got a little lost along the way, but we made it there in one piece.
so all is good :).
went to the office and waitlisted for almondwood; we're going to visit ray's place tomorrow and see if we like it or not.
then went to safeway and longs. bought wheat bread & shampoo/conditioner.
then bused back to campus and i took a nice nap :)
shannon went to dinner with celeste and jasmine, but i didn't feel hungry enough to go dc, so i just stuck with a pb&j!
went to aacf after that. after large group, aacf went broomballing. i didn't feel like going and im trying to save money, so yeah. shannon and i just went to jasmine's room (anthea is gone for the weekend), and chilled.

6 hours. back to back. one hour break. yay! hahah i think i have the most workload today. ate lunch with christine, her roomie, and her bf. chem lab! what a small world. my lab partner ended up being my friend's sister. she gave me some tips on apartment hunting. :) goggle tans suck.

went to dinner with celeste, shannon, and eventually jasmine. karen and misha from koinonia came and joined us for a while. there was korean bbq with kimchi; but it just wasn't right. hahah. celeste made me some freaking delicious hot chocolate. yumyum.

went to the arc with jasmine. we left at 9, came back around 1! no we're not crazy; i just did one hour of cardio, 15 minutes of racquetball, some upper body stuff and stretching. then we just went to the weight room and chilled for a while. hahah it was nice :) alvin can't stretch very well, but im sure he'll learn. AHH i wish i went to the free yoga class today, but i didn't. boo esther.

i walked all the way the MU to sell my asa book, and then i walked back to my dorm. halfway, i realized that i was supposed to buy my chem 2b lab manual. doh. i would have walked back to buy it, but i was feeling lazy. haahh. today is a really nice day :).
so i think i should start blogging at the end of the day. otherwise, i have to keep on recapping on what happened the night before. like im going to do now -_-
yesterday, after i painted my nails and all that, celeste, jasmine, shannon and i went to dinner. food sucked that day. the only thing i finished was a grilled cheese sandwich. ooh actually they had really good dessert that day too. afterwards, we went to the arc. man it was packed. wait a couple of weeks, everyones' desires to fulfill their new years resolution to lose weight will eventually fade. hahah. this week, the arc is having free trials of different types of workouts. things like yoga, ballroom dancing, pilates, aerobics, and guts and butts! hahha. but yeah after the arc, we went to our dorm and watched funny videos on youtube, along with wondergirls' mvs and live performances. hahah. but we worked out for a good hour or so. we called the escort service to drive us to and from. it was cool! hahha.

then today, went to my english class. the teacher cusses a lot. i don't think he smiles :(. but yeah practically two hours of that class, twice a week. eek. my butt started to hurt after an hour. then went to the MU to sell yadayada.

ate dinner with the building, well, sort of. afterwards, jasmine, shannon and i went to white elephant for aacf. i received 4 packs of mentos and bamboo flavored seaweed. yum -.-. how deceiving though. the person enclosed it in a mint oreos box. boo. hahha shannon gave away two cans of spam. how generous! ended early, and i went to the arc alone :(. saw nguyen and my brother while i was there. wooo

wet nails.

so im waiting for my left hands' nails to dry right now. hahha. so i got back to davis yesterday, and i realize how much i miss my bed. hahah 3 inch mattress topper ftw! but yeah, i got back and i looked in my fridge; there were small black moldy things :(. i cleaned it, because my parents left and so obviously i couldn't make them to do it -_-. but just cleaned up all my stuff, and then had dinner with celeste! it was fun; we got caught up and shared each other's excitement in moving into an apartment next year. whoohoo :). anyways, afterwards we went to my dorm and we looked up different apartments online. we have 5 options! south davis: tanglewood, sorrento; north davis: almondwood, chaparral; west davis: portage bay apartments. so we're going to go apartment-touring this saturday. woot woot! then jasmine came over, and then eventually shannon came too :). its kind of nice being back here. it was such a nice day too.

today, on the other hand, is sprinkly and gloomy :(. first day of winter quarter! classes weren't too bad. 9:00 chem; 10:00 science and society; 12: calculus. and that's it! :D :D. had lunch with shannon, agna, and brittney afterwards. then i did my calc hw, which took way too long. and now im here painting my nails and blogging. the end!

almost time to go.

one more day and i'm back in davis! im actually glad to be going back so that i can sleep in my bed :). i need a spending ban because i feel like i've been spending a lot of money. after i pay for my retreat, no more spending! i don't think that'll be too much of a problem because there's not much to spend money on up in davis. harhar. i also really want to eat healthy + exercise on a daily basis! i ate too much candy today :x. today andrea went to get her hair cut, and i tagged along :). rawr i don't have internet service at home. oh well. yesterday we watched mamma mia, which was a really cute movie. then today, we watched good luck chuck and 21.

the first post!

2008 is over, 2009 is here! out with the old, in with the new. bye bye xanga. hello blogspot! it just seems that blogspot offers a more simple layout, so sure, why not :) so i was sleeping over at dianna's house 12/29/08 and we were reminiscing about what happened each month during 2008. i couldn't remember ANYTHING. darn my horrible memory. so i decided to blog about my day every day (if i can) no matter how trivial or redundant the days may seem. so let me just do some catching up for my own sake.

winter break -went to socal to visit uncle, aunt, and baby jacob :) december 16-28. yeah i spent a large portion of my winter break there. i loved it though! i got my own room and we went around to different malls like the irvine spectrum and mission viejo. i helped take care of the baby since my auntie is going to be welcoming baby julia into the world in about 4 weeks. i think i want to live in socal when i get older :D. -after i came back from socal, i slept over at andrea's house. hahah i seemed to do a lot of that during winter break too. very thankful because she is saving me from having to sleep on the floor and listen to my parents' harmonius snoring. -sleeping over at dianna's house was fun because we played mahjong and made brownies! we also ate strawberry cheesecake icecream. drools*.
new years eve, i went to st. augstine's with gfc. omg i haven't been there at all this whole winter break. it was cool seeing everyone again :) :) :). we ate sesame ball thingies. yumyum. i remember feeling kind of disappointed with certain youth because i noticed that the young kids and old kids were still kind of separated. sigh. whatever! i slept over at lila's that night.
new years went to a2f dinner. made dumplings! man that night was a nightmare. my dad was being such a meanie (for lack of a better word). sigh. but andrea saved the day! (and justin too :D) now andrea and i are in her room blogging. hhaha.
